After flushing Sunny through the toilet. I decided to make a drawing to honor my goldfish. That’s the first time I fully finished a drawing, with full-on colors and even shadows! Very fancy for a 6-year-old.

I’ve always loved and learned art from the superhero genre. Through superhero media, I slowly got into comics. The comics that pulled me in further were the ones with chunky, stylized drawings, messy but in a human way, with big expressive text and the overall drawings being filled with love for the story and media that inspired that story.

I struggled to find characters like me in superhero media, but I remembered the first time I read about a gay superhero, to which I related.

I won the Dutch championship of comic drawing in my age category in 2018 and 2020.

Now I’m a comic artist/illustrator. I make my own comics and illustrate posters for clubs and events.

In 2024 I self-published my comic for the first time. I’ve found that I want to draw and write my own comic. In my comics a world is presented that is very urban (Rotterdam-based), modern, fashionable, a mix of manga and American comics, and queer. The queerness bleeds into my comics. I like to make people feel like they have a corner of their own in the comic book genre. I discuss topics relating to the queer community and mix them with action and adventure.

My dream now is to become a full-time comic illustrator and author.
